    ‘Wellness and Tranquility’ Original review

Really enjoyed my 8 days at Long Vita. I stayed in a small bungalow in the grounds which was lovely and peaceful. There are also bedrooms in the main hotel, some with balconies overlooking the lake. Diets can be tailor-made to an individual’s health needs. But mainly the diets are fresh fruit and vegetables and juices. The spa area has a sauna, Infra red sauna, steam room, whirlpool and small swimming pool. The exercise classes are excellent and held in a lovely large exercise hall overlooking the lake. The instructors are very professional and also take the Nordic walking and morning walk. show more

    • Hotel in general
A lovely hotel on the edge of a lake in the middle of a large forest. There are several bungalows in the grounds and rooms in the main hotel. The lobby has comfortable sofas and it is a great area for guests to meet for cups of tea.
    • Service and hospitality
Mario, the owner of this wonderful health resort, is extremely helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The 3 gym instructors are all extremely friendly and professional.
    • Cuisine
Food is mainly based on fruit and veg - 600 and 800 calories - but some eggs, chicken and fish available for the higher calorie diets which are very tasty and varied. Unlimited herbal teas and water available all day
    • Spa, treatment and pool area
A great, clean spa comprising sauna, steam room, infra red sauna, salt cave, swimming pool and whirlpool available for a small extra charge . There is a larger sauna down by the lake.
    • Treatments and programmes
Some excellent masseurs who are very popular. It is advisable to book any treatments on arrival to avoid disappointment.

    ‘New healthy experience’ Original review

Great experience and a focused direction for healthy jump-start to a improved body. I learned so much about food quantities, nutrition and strict dining times. Modern life has messed us all up. Long Vita makes the simple things in life which we all get out of sync obvious so you can fix it. Really great fitness classes throughout the day, ample natural beauty all around. All clients are focused on health goals, and the food is great. show more

    • Service and hospitality

    • Cuisine

      Very clean and relaxing

‘An amazing location for a relaxing week’ Original review

This spa hotel is in an amazing location, on a fantastic lake. It is great for relaxing and taking care of your diet. You are isolated, though, so make sure you have what you need to keep yourself busy. show more

    • Hotel in general
The hotel is located on a lake in a forest, therefore the best location you can have. It is very clean and the staff is friendly. Apart from the hotel, that has lake views, there are also small houses if you are looking for something bigger. There are spa facilities, even though the jacuzzi and hamam are quite small. The dining room is quite large and they have given it a modern look. The sitting room is in the reception area and there are no other indoor places to spend some time.
    • Service and hospitality
In general, the staff is friendly and welcoming. However, there can be a language barrier at times as they don't al speak english. As the hotel is isolated, they have a taxi driver they use and he is very helpful and professional, even though with limited command of english. There is a doctor and nurse coming in only for an hour on specific dates, therefore if you have a medical issue this is not the place for you.
    • Cuisine
The food presentation is lovely and colourful and they adapt your specific meal to your taste. The first three days I was on the 460 calorie menu, but the fruit was very limited and having vegetables and salad in the morning is not to my taste. Therefore I changed to the 800 calorie menu. Try being very specific on your likes and their menus as on two occasions we had food I couldn't eat it, one day it was chicken liver and the other a kind of fish marinated in salt. They are very flexible and do try to accommodate your requests.
    • Spa, treatment and pool area
The facilities existed, but I would say that for a spa hotel the swimming pool, jacuzzi and hamam are very small. However, I did use them every day. What surprised me is that they charge for the use of the spa area and even for the bathrobe, it's not much, but it's the principle that I disagree with.
    • Treatments and programmes
I did not have any treatments, but the activities programme was excellent. They had activities to keep you busy all day and I found them to be very good. The trainers were Polish and spoke little english, but they did make an effort to include us.

‘A fabulous, very reasonably priced wellness break in a beautiful location.’ Original review

The hotel/spa is probably the best value-for-money wellness break that I have ever had. The location is stunning, the food is very good and there are enough fitness activities to suit all needs. What I particularly like is that it is a dedicated spa, not one that is tacked onto a general hotel, so there are no children running around and no late-night noise. Even when full, there is plenty of peace and quiet. show more

    • Hotel in general
The hotel is simply but beautifully decorated, with comfy sofas, a wood burning stove and small library, like a cosy country house, with big glass windows overlooking the lake. It is very clean. Standard rooms are simple but very light and airy with a balcony. Apartments are bigger and more ornate, with wood floors but some don't have a balcony. There are also log cabins in the surrounding woods for those who want a bit more privacy.
    • Service and hospitality
The staff are very friendly and on this, my second time there, many welcomed me back and even remembered my name. The receptionists speak very good English and nothing is too much trouble for them, from recommending treatments to organising taxis for shopping trips.
    • Cuisine
The food is very tasty and beautifully presented, with enough variety not to make a stay of a few weeks feel like a chore. There are different eating plans and you can change to another eating plan at a day's notice. (Be aware: the vegetarian options include fish and you have to specifically state: no fish.) The juices and soya milk drinks in particular are delicious. Solo guests are seated at tables with other guests so you don't have to eat alone. My only reason for not giving a full five stars is that there is too much dill and too many pickles in a lot of the dishes - perhaps these could be served separately? And just to be very nit-picky, the eggs are always under-cooked. It would be useful to have menus printed in English as well as Polish as so many guests are English-speaking (a large Icelandic contingent).
    • Spa, treatment and pool area
There is a small, but never overcrowded, spa area with a jacuzzi, wet sauna, an infrared sauna (free to use), a steam room, a salt cave and a small pool with a counter-current machine to swim against if you wish. The facilities are open until 10 pm, unusually. It is very clean. There is also an outside sauna with a dip in the lake afterwards, which appeals to many Scandinavian guests but is a little too much for this British one!
    • Treatments and programmes
Although I have not had many treatments, the ones I did have were excellent and my fellow gusts were also impressed with treatments they had. Prices are very reasonable and there is a big menu to choose from, in English and Polish. There is a nurse on hand most days to take BP and sugar level readings (only Polish spoken). The fitness programme is very varied and you can join in, or not, as you wish: Nordic walking, stretching, gym, lake-swimming are included in the cost of the holiday, and then there are some other activities, such as yoga, Pilates and aqua aerobics, for a small fee (about 5 euros). Instructions are mainly in Polish but easy to follow. I particularly enjoyed the forest walks.
