Sal Island, located in the Barlavento archipelago, covers an area of about 216 km², making it the smallest island in the country. Despite its size, it is a unique destination for visitors from around the world with its rich history, diverse fauna and flora, and turquoise, pleasantly temperate seawater. The hotel is situated in Santa Maria, approximately 11 miles from Sal Airport, and just 300 metres from the long, broad sandy beach.
The culinary experience at the Salt & Pepper restaurant begins with a breakfast buffet featuring a selection of local, homemade baked goods, cereals, various fruits, salads, yoghurt, milk, and fruit juices. The breakfast also includes hot dishes. Additionally, the buffet offers various extras such as locally produced blossom honey and sugarcane syrup, dried and candied fruits, butter, and jams. If you have specific dietary requirements, please inform us in advance (preferably 48 hours) so we can prepare a suitable breakfast for you. Marta Matos has studied and practiced with internationally renowned yoga instructors such as Denise Payne, Les Leventhal, Cynthia Joanne, Mahesh, and Vari Morales. She has been studying, practicing, and teaching yoga for over 8 years and received her Hatha and Ashtanga Yoga instructor certification in 2012 in Rishikesh, India, from the Indian Yoga and Meditation Association, and her 200-hour Baptiste Yoga, Power Yoga certification in April 2018 through the Africa Yoga Project in Kenya.
Marta leverages her knowledge and skills to cater to the individual needs of each student within a class or group training setting. Her deep passion for yoga permeates every aspect of her life. Her teaching is filled with compassion and an authentic desire to help students discover their own limitless potential.
