Good to Know

Natural healing sulphur water

    • Hotel in general
The general cleanliness is good, the ambience of the village was magical and different. We felt transported to a different time and space. What we also liked is how our neighbours also seemed to mind their noise level and we greatly appreciate this (given that the units are very closely placed next to each other) However, a few areas to improve on. When we first drove there, it was not exactly very clear where was the "end point" or where is reception. Perhaps, this could be explained in the package and with clearer signposting. The cleaning service was somewhat irregular. There was one full day where housekeeping did not come by to clean and they seem to keep piling up towels and at one time, we ended up with 3 to 4 sets of towels each. We also felt that the hotel's website could be improved on. It takes a bit of surfing about to find something (e.g. a map)
    • Service and hospitality
The staff were exceptionally helpful, kind and friendly. We felt that they were ever so reay yto help. And a special thank you to our favourite waitress at the breakfast restaurant, Helen. She is just so attentive, kind and friendly. It is impressive how she remembers our favourite drinks and brings them to us voluntarily. And we noticed how she interacted with the other guests too. She is just a natural.
    • Cuisine
We absolutely loved Loutraki, the grill restaurant and we almost camped over there! The steaks and lamb were simply tasty, and we kept coming back! However, we felt that the options extended to guests on half board could be improved at Byzantino. Instead of having to stick to a special "half board menu", perhaps Byzantino could give guests the option of about EUR30 per person for the meal - just like Loutraki did. Because we tried their pork chops and that was gorgeous - unfortunately, this item was not included in the "half board menu". But the appetisers were yummy!
    • Spa, treatment and pool area
Loved the spa. The staff were great and we felt so relaxed. The ambience and cleanliness were really relaxing and good too. We would like to suggest a few areas to improve on though... namely, it would be great to have a clock in the pool area (so we can tell time easily). Although it was written on the brochure that no mobile phones are allowed, many guests were on the phone and this was really not a nice experience. Perhaps, the connection should be shut off or blocked off so we don't get another person screaming at the top of their lungs into their phones next to you. Yes they were pretty loud and maybe the staff should be empowered to get very strict with this too. (However, they did a good job at telling a group of teenagers from running around and diving into the pool, and went a step further by telling their parents too) They told us that they are building a second pool and this will be outdoors on the lower level (near the river, I believe) and this is very much needed given that the spa pool is really small.

    ‘Wonderful place’ Translated by Google

The Casale is a wonderful blend of traditional village with all the amenities of a star hotel. The room was lovingly and stylishly furnished, the breakfast buffet incredibly varied and delicious. The spa has everything I would need for rest. The staff was in all places, always friendly and helpful. For walking you like to drive 40 minutes in different directions ... If you want to be quite to yourself, this offers the unobtrusive atmosphere (contacts do not close the many couples :-) To share the beauty on site, to take someone with you. show more
