Duke's Forest Lodge is an eco-friendly plantation resort featuring just 5 boutique villas nestled within a 40-hectare estate of rubber, coconut palms, cocoa, pineapple, rambutan, mangosteen, and spices such as pepper, cloves, and nutmeg. Its own fish farming and traditional, bee-friendly beekeeping complete the sustainable plantation life. With a maximum of 10 guests, enjoy Ayurveda in rare seclusion and a family-like atmosphere. The resort is located on the edge of the Peppara Wildlife Sanctuary, at the foothills of the Ponmudi mountains, deep in the lush highlands of Kerala. The clear Kallar River shapes the surroundings and, together with the dense greenery, creates a pleasantly tranquil atmosphere.

The airy restaurant, overlooking the clear Kallar River and adjacent jungle, delights you with tasty Ayurvedic dishes made predominantly from regional ingredients and its own pesticide-free cultivation. At Duke's, the Ayurvedic principle of "food as medicine" is applied: Each meal is individually tailored to your dosha type, nutritional needs, allergies, and personal dietary preferences in close coordination between the kitchen and Ayurvedic doctors. Served in traditional copper vessels and prepared with utmost care, you will experience authentic Ayurvedic cuisine and take valuable nutritional knowledge home with you.

Ayurveda at Duke's Forest Lodge is tailored for personalised care: With only 5 villas and a maximum of 10 guests, each individual is at the centre of attention. Each villa features a private treatment room with an adjoining bathroom. The therapy begins with a comprehensive initial consultation on the day of arrival, followed by a daily visit to adjust the treatment plan and a final consultation with recommendations for diet and lifestyle for the time thereafter.

The treatments are led by two Ayurveda doctors, trained for three years by the experienced Ayurveda doctors of the sister resort, Nikki's Nest. If needed, the senior doctors from Nikki's Nest (female and male) are also available. All used Ayurvedic oils and herbal powders are produced under the brand Prakrithi Satthwa Oushadhashala directly on the plantation, GMP-certified and with a manufacturing license from the Drugs Controller. Guests are welcome to visit the oil production if they wish.

Yoga and meditation complement the therapy and are offered from Monday to Saturday tailored to the guests' preferences. Classes are held in the Sivananda tradition, on the hotel's own yoga platform overlooking the river and jungle.

Secluded from all the hustle and bustle, you can privately practice and meditate in the Yoga pavilion overlooking the river and jungle. At Duke's Forest Lodge, immerse yourself in an "Ayurvedic world" all on one property: Ayurvedic cooking classes, insights into Ayurvedic medicine production, and firsthand experiences of plantation life in Kerala. Enjoy plantation and nature walks, bird watching, visits to the rubber factory, campfires and barbecues, as well as interactions with the resort's rescued dogs. A large pool by the stream is perfect for relaxation, while the Bison House by the pool offers Wi-Fi and board games for a cosy communal space.
