Dining is mainly outdoors on the covered terrace. Ayurvedic meals individually according to the recommendations of the Ayurvedic doctor. Gladly this gives you also explanations to your served meals.

Health & Treatments

The Ayurveda Center of AyuSuwathaa is certified as an Ayurveda Hospital and offers a very individual classical Ayurveda retreat. In consultation with the Ayurvedic doctor, either a purification cure (Panchakarma) or a regeneration cure without detoxification components is performed. Treatments, nutrition and the attitude of the patient are the decisive factors for a cure in Ayurveda. Nature provides everything necessary for the body - the natural medicines and the right food. Only the attitude is the responsibility of the patient, with the support of the Ayurvedic doctor. In addition, it is also possible to choose a healing cure, which is suitable for guests with acute ailments or those seeking rehabilitation after serious illnesses. All treatments take place in the in-house Ayurveda center. Hammocks and sun loungers in the garden in front of the hotel provide a place to relax. In addition, the following services can be provided on request and for a fee: Acupuncture, blood tests, urine tests, X-rays, consultations by Western specialists (e.g. for stroke or cancer patients), medicines for home.

Pool Area

Free Time

The outdoor pool in the garden invites you to relax. If you have rested enough after the intensive treatments and want to see something of the country, the AyuSuwathaa offers enough choice. The following offers do more than just filling out the "free time" and are only an extract of what you can expect: Excursions in the afternoon to places worth seeing, Buddhist temples and local festivals in the area, walks on the beach, turtle watching and, if desired, tours to Galle, Ratnapura, Kandy or Colombo. Alternatively, hammocks and deck chairs in the garden offer a retreat to relax.

‘a very beneficial and inspiring break’ Original review (automatically translated)

After 15 days I feel well recovered. It was my first Panchakarma healing therapy and I felt very comfortable at AyuSuwathaa. The whole package was super - treatments intensive, the Ayurvedic food excellent, the medical and other support professional. Many ideas also for cooking at home. Thank you! show more

    • Hotel in general
Hotel is located in a residential area just a few minutes away from the beach. Very nice garden, where not only the cook can find something to prepare the food, but you can also watch various animals such as monkeys, iguanas and many birds from the lounger. Very quiet at night, but from early morning you can hear the train and everything that belongs to the village life. But what does not bother in view of yoga at 6h early.
    • Service and hospitality
The staff is dedicated and very accommodating. In the meantime, I was the only guest, which is probably why I still enjoyed one or two additional treatments.
    • Cuisine
The meals were not only consistently delicious and varied, but I also learned a lot about Ayurvedic cuisine and got to know several vegetables and healing "greens". Plus cooking demonstration so that I can also make delicious curries at home.
    • Spa, treatment and pool area
The therapeutic spa department is clean and functional without frills, you notice that it is mainly about the medical aspects and not about "wellness tralala". Super nice was the final flower bath. The pool is very neat.
    • Treatments and programmes
The therapy staff is friendly and some of them have been at the resort for years. One colleague was probably still in training and apparently got good explanations from the others. For some treatments, the doctor also came by, I had the impression that the quality control of the treatments is important to the management. I felt very well treated and cared for.

‘A wonderful resort with a heartwarming team and the treatments very good.’ Original review (automatically translated)

The resort is very well maintained, a small paradise. Everything is taken care of. No wish is denied to the guest. The team is incredibly loving and concerned. The Ayurvedic treatments are very profound and are performed with great care and skill. The medical examinations are central to this and you never feel alone with your issues. A round the clock care. The food, the meals are freshly prepared three times a day, are varied and authentic. The importance of food in Ayurvedic terms is clearly in focus. All contexts are brought close to you and explained. Many herbs grow directly in the garden and are freshly harvested. All in all it is win resort of a special but private class. You never have the feeling of an impersonal ambience. You feel like you are in a family. I feel very refreshed. show more

    • Hotel in general
Ayusuwathas is a friendly, very clean house in an authentic style. Beautiful (mostly) bright rooms, great dark wooden furniture. Nestled in palm trees and a lush green garden, great location with the sound of the sea close to the great natural beach.
    • Service and hospitality
Staff very helpful, friendly, competent. Good English. You will be very spoiled :) A guitar was specially procured for me (I'm a singer)! Excursions very pleasant, good organization.
    • Cuisine
There is absolutely nothing to complain about! The eye also ate. Very varied, spicy, fresh. I would have liked more prescription information.
    • Spa, treatment and pool area
Simple treatment rooms, very clean, nice open yoga room, many varied massages and treatments, flower bath !! Top clean pool!
    • Treatments and programmes
The staff took care of my concerns in a touching and competent manner. I recovered very well, I take something new with me about my diet. More recipe information would be good.
