Emi Ayujanani Ayurveda Resort in Detail

Your Ayurveda Resort

The Emi Ayujanani Ayurveda Resort in Induruwa on the south coast of Sri Lanka offers authentic Ayurveda in a serene coastal setting. Nestled in a natural, tropical environment, it provides the perfect backdrop to unwind and restore the balance of body, mind, and soul. Treatments are exclusively carried out with 100% organic herbal oils, while experienced Ayurveda doctors provide personalised guidance throughout your stay. The proximity to the sea also invites you to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of Sri Lanka. Induruwa Beach is about 2 km from the resort and is easily accessible. It takes approximately 20 minutes on foot or about 5 minutes by car. For a small fee, a TukTuk shuttle to the beach (approx. 2€, with a waiting time of about 1 hour) and to the nearby area is offered.

Location & Surroundings

The Emi Ayujanani Ayurveda Resort is located in Induruwa, a serene and tranquil coastal town on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka, nestled between the popular holiday destinations of Bentota to the north and Kosgoda to the south. The area is characterized by palm-fringed sandy beaches, lush coconut groves, and a tropically green landscape. In Bentota, the expansive beach and the Bentota River invite you to relax by the sea or take a boat trip through the mangrove landscape. To the south, cultural attractions such as the Mask Museum in Ambalangoda and the impressive Kande Vihara Temple with its large Buddha statue beckon. A special excursion destination is the historic old town of Galle with the imposing Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Dining & Leisure

Meals are freshly prepared and follow the principles of Ayurvedic cuisine. The focus is on a balanced, digestible diet that supports the body during Ayurveda treatments. Depending on individual needs and doshas, the diet is adjusted accordingly. Conscious eating, relieving the body, and providing exactly what it needs for balance. Thus, each meal becomes another component of personal regeneration.

Ayurveda Center

Your stay begins with a personal consultation with an Ayurveda doctor, tailoring treatments and other components to your health status and personal needs. The range of treatments includes traditional Ayurvedic treatments such as soothing oil treatments and massages. Specialised Ayurvedic treatments aim to reduce joint inflammation, alleviate chronic pain, and enhance physical mobility. Complementing these, yoga and meditation support physical and mental regeneration, suitable for all levels of experience. A key focus is on Panchakarma, the traditional Ayurvedic detox therapy designed to relieve the body of toxins and bolster natural regeneration processes. Digestion and metabolism also play a crucial role: holistic digestive therapies aim to balance gut health, strengthen the digestive fire (Agni), and boost metabolic efficiency. The treatments are led by Dr. Wathsala, who has over twelve years of clinical experience with European and international guests.

Free Time

Twice a month, our resort hosts Ayurvedic cooking demonstrations that invite you to uncover the secrets of traditional Sri Lankan cuisine using regional, organic ingredients. Similarly, informative workshops held twice a month offer insights into the ancient healing traditions. The surrounding area also offers numerous opportunities to explore the nature and culture of Sri Lanka: Boat tours through the mangrove forests on the nearby Bentota River allow you to spot crocodiles, monkeys, and numerous bird species. Another worthwhile excursion is the Brief Garden, the idyllic artist's garden of landscape architect Bevis Bawa in the hinterlands near Bentota, captivating with its lush tropical vegetation and artistic design elements.
