Your Wellness Hotel

The Oversum Winterberg Hotel – a perfect blend of 'Ovum' for egg and 'Universum' for universe. The hotel's unique architecture spans approximately 13,500 sqm of building space and about 17,500 sqm of outdoor area. With its extraordinary egg shape and unique design, encased in a wooden lattice structure, the resort is a standout attraction in the spa park of the Winterberg holiday world.

Location & Surroundings

Winterberg in the Sauerland is a climatic health resort internationally renowned as a venue for ski jumping and World Cup races in bobsleigh and luge. 6 trails, 450 km of hiking trails, and the Rothaarsteig, the "Path of the Senses" (154 km), offer great recreational opportunities. The holiday world of Winterberg is a DSV Nordic Active Centre with a certified Nordic blading track.

Dining & Leisure

Indulge in a delicious and extensive breakfast buffet, and with half board, enjoy a 4-course evening meal with a choice of 3 main dishes or a buffet (depending on the number of guests) at the hotel restaurant featuring a quaint terrace. Additionally, the hotel boasts a wellness bistro with a select menu and the "Veltins-Lounge" bar complete with a fireplace and snack menu. Vegetarian, vegan, lactose-free, and gluten-free options available upon request.

Wellness & Spa

Discover relaxation in our wellness area (approx. 3,000 sqm) featuring a sauna area (open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., from age 14, outdoor sauna Fri.-Sun. 2-8 p.m.) with various saunas (sanarium, aromatic steam bath, Finnish indoor and outdoor sauna), outdoor lounging areas, and 2 quiet rooms, one with a salt wall. A spacious relax pool with bubble loungers and an integrated whirlpool is also available.

The public bathing area offers an Aquafit indoor pool (approx. 8 x 13 m), a sports pool (approx. 25 m), a children's pool, and a heated outdoor pool. Additionally, there is a textile family sauna outdoors.

Our Spa & Beauty team offers a variety of wellness treatments, such as oriental spa luxury in the Rasul bath, treatments on the soft-pack lounger, various massages and facials, as well as Thalasso and Ayurveda wellness treatments. We primarily use products from BABOR.

Fitness & Courses

The hotel's fitness area is equipped with cardio machines and Technogym® strength equipment.

Free Time

The Winterberg Tourist Information is conveniently located within the hotel, ready to assist with any inquiries about your leisure activities. A weekly changing leisure program including hikes, tours, and more is available (at a charge). Enjoy a round of golf at the 9-hole Winterberg Golf Course, just about 1.5 miles away, with a discount on green fees. Winter sports such as skiing or snowshoeing are available in 9 nearby small ski areas, across approximately 102 miles of trails and countless winter hiking paths. Activities such as hiking, cycling, and are also plentiful.

We had a relaxing time and were completely satisfied with the surroundings, hotel and staff. Everything was clean and nicely furnished, very friendly and reliable team, rich breakfast.

The Hotel Oversum combines modern character with a great location and warm charm. Although the hotel is very large, you never get the feeling that it is noisy or crowded. There is a calmness and balance about this place. All the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The service is very attentive. The wellness area is great and there is something for everyone. The massage as well as the hydroxeur bath and the floating bed were unique. The hotel is very clean and if you don't want your room cleaned, you get a 5 euro voucher per day which you can redeem in the bar, for example. There is nothing but praise and appreciation for the hotel and it will certainly not be our last stay.
