The SAMANA Ayurveda Hotel is tranquilly located just outside the main grounds of the Somatheeram Ayurvedic Health Resort, nestled in tropical greenery and only a short walk from the pristine beach. Operating as an independent hotel, it offers functional accommodation specifically for Ayurveda guests who utilize all treatments, meals, and yoga and meditation sessions at Somatheeram during the day. The neighbouring Somatheeram Ayurvedic Health Resort has been a pioneer of Ayurvedic resorts with Western standards in India since its inception in 1990 and has been repeatedly recognized as a centre of Ayurvedic excellence. Both hotels are managed by an experienced German-Indian team; a hotel-owned tuk-tuk is available upon request for the short journey between the facilities.

Kerala - the southern, tropical-evergreen state of India - captivates with its scenic and cultural diversity. Palaces, traditional villages, tea plantations, nature reserves, and the tranquil backwaters define the landscape of this unique region. The coast around Chowara, with its pristine atmosphere, invites you to take relaxing walks.

All meals are served at the Somatheeram Ayurvedic Health Resort. With half or full board, you'll enjoy Ayurvedic vegetarian menus tailored to your dosha. Fresh fruit, freshly squeezed juices, and selected spices form the basis of the cuisine. South Indian, European, or Chinese specialties are available upon request for an additional charge.

The Ayurveda therapies are holistically and individually planned, regularly monitored by doctors, and adjusted as needed. Depending on availability and organisation, treatments take place either in the small Ayurveda area of SAMANA or in the multi-award-winning Ayurveda Center of Somatheeram.

The Somatheeram Ayurveda Center boasts a team of approximately 80 experienced Ayurveda doctors and therapists and has been awarded the Ayur Diamond classification and certified multiple times as the "Best Ayurvedic Centre". In the in-house factory, under medical supervision, about 225 authentic Ayurvedic preparations are produced, state-tested and GMP-certified (show production possible).

A German-speaking psychological therapy companion is available (approx. €65 per session, payable on-site). An Ayurveda doctor is available around the clock.

Yoga

Daily yoga and meditation sessions are held in the yoga hall of Somatheeram and are an integral part of the Ayurveda concept. Private yoga sessions can be booked upon request (approx. €27/90 minutes, payable on-site).

Guests of SAMANA have access to all the leisure facilities of the Somatheeram Ayurvedic Health Resort. These include a spacious outdoor pool, direct access to the sea with sun loungers, parasols and towel service, an open-air stage for cultural performances, and an open lounge with a traditional tea cart. A herb garden and Wi-Fi at the reception complement the offerings.
