Samaya Waters Bentota is a charmingly renovated Ayurveda retreat nestled in Bentota on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka. Situated directly by the river and surrounded by lush nature, this hotel offers a sanctuary for guests who wish to consciously distance themselves from daily life and focus on inner balance and rejuvenation. The resort features just four rooms - two on the ground floor and two on the first floor - ensuring a particularly personal and tranquil atmosphere. A beautifully landscaped pond, the tropical garden, and the waterfront location create an atmosphere of deep serenity. Bentota Beach is approximately a 15-minute tuk-tuk ride away.

At the same time, Bentota is known for its long, fine sandy beach, ideal for walks, relaxation, and sunsets over the Indian Ocean. The harmonious interplay of river, sea, and lush greenery makes Bentota a popular spot for Ayurveda, wellness, and peaceful retreats amidst nature.

Enjoy tasty Ayurvedic dishes in the small hotel restaurant, individually tailored to your dosha type and served as a set menu. Food intolerances or special dietary requests can be accommodated with advance notice.

A key aspect of Samaya Waters is its authentic Ayurveda tradition. The team, consisting of one Ayurveda doctor (available at set times) and two therapists, is dedicated to your well-being during the Ayurveda therapy. Treatments are conducted in three rooms, focusing on holistic health, relaxation, and sustainable well-being. Upon request, some treatments can also be performed in the idyllic garden. Regular yoga and meditation sessions take place in the open Yoga Shala, enhancing the therapy's effectiveness. Additionally, a session with a dietary advisor can be arranged on site (advance booking required; payment on site).

For a diverse stay, a variety of excursions and activities are available. Bentota Beach is approximately a 15-minute tuk-tuk ride away and is perfect for relaxing walks. Two trips per week are complimentary, for example, to the beach or a temple. Additional half-day tours and short trips in the surrounding area can be arranged for a fee upon request. Visits to a local family, a public school, or traditional woodcraft can also be organized. Nature experiences such as a boat trip on the Bentota River through the mangroves, a ride on a fishing boat, or yoga at dusk on the beach (Secret Island) complete the offerings. All tours and activities can be booked and paid for on-site.
