Traditional Ayurveda resort by the Siddhalepa Group, set in a picturesque beachfront location. Exclusively for Ayurveda guests and their travel companions, featuring a highly qualified team of Ayurveda doctors and medicine produced in-house. Immerse yourself in 200 years of Ayurveda history and knowledge from the Siddhalepa family.
The Siddhalepa Ayurveda Health Resort, nestled in a tropical garden and located directly on the beach, has been welcoming Ayurveda guests from around the world for over 25 years. The spacious garden with winding paths invites relaxation upon arrival. Although the grounds have retained their natural character and the paths are still in their original state, this lends the resort a unique charm. The entrance area and lobby, which have been redesigned in a modern local style, create a pleasant, welcoming atmosphere. Additionally, the resort features a small shop where exclusive Ayurveda products from Siddhalepa are available. For added convenience, a currency exchange service is available to guests. The resort is part of the Siddhalepa Group—a family business that has been nurturing Ayurveda traditions for over 200 years. In addition to Ayurveda centers in Germany, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic, the company operates an Ayurveda hospital and a university in Sri Lanka. The company is ISO-certified and EU-licensed, and is known in Germany for its Ayurvedic products.
The resort is located in Wadduwa on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka, a place popular with locals and tourists alike, perfect for relaxation and rejuvenation. The proximity to the railway means that the sound of trains can be heard, which many guests find typical and charming.
The resort features two restaurants offering both Ayurvedic and international cuisine. In the newly renovated open beach restaurant, guests can savour fresh dishes right by the sea. Another air-conditioned restaurant on the first floor near the lobby provides a selection of Ayurvedic dishes, specially prepared in consultation with Ayurvedic doctors to cater to the guests' needs. Depending on occupancy, meals are served either as a set menu or buffet, with white fish complementing the vegetarian options. Guests can also request international dishes and private in-room dining. Additionally, a new Elixir Bar has been constructed.
At the Ayurveda Center of the resort, an experienced team of five Ayurveda doctors and numerous professionally trained therapists awaits you, all educated at the renowned Siddhalepa Ayurveda Hospital. In 22 harmoniously designed treatment rooms, equipped with a modern Bluetooth sound system, you can enjoy authentic Ayurveda treatments in a soothing atmosphere. This ancient healing art promotes inner balance, strengthens self-healing powers, and supports body and mind on the path to sustainable well-being. Yoga and meditation in the new yoga pavilion or by the pool complete the therapy holistically. New to the program are individually bookable lessons in yoga, meditation, Ayurvedic cooking, and massage techniques – a valuable addition for those who wish to delve deeper into the world of Ayurveda.
About 200 years ago, the Hettigoda family began producing and distributing Ayurvedic products under the brand name Siddhalepa. In their factory in Sri Lanka, they skilfully combine traditional Ayurvedic knowledge with the latest technology and continuous research and improvement of their formulas. The products are regularly inspected by the government, certified with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and are now available worldwide, including in Germany.
The Siddhalepa brand's range includes essential balms and oils, Ayurvedic cosmetics and skincare products, toothpaste, as well as Ayurvedic herbal medicine, dietary supplements, elixirs, and tea. Guests of Siddhalepa hotels are invited to visit the factory and learn more about the group.
The resort features a spacious freshwater pool, seamlessly integrated into the surrounding green parkland, offering perfect conditions for restful hours. Adjacent to the pool is a small gym, providing opportunities for active relaxation. A stroll through the fragrant garden, planted with medicinal herbs, leads guests directly to the tranquil mangrove grove on the beach. This location is ideal for relaxed seaside walks.
The resort spreads its 50 rooms across several 1- to 3-storey buildings, harmoniously nestled in a tropical garden landscape. Each room is uniquely designed, featuring a Sinhalese theme that lends the resort a distinctive charm. The amenities meet Western standards, including a comfortable seating area, rain shower, bathroom/toilet, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, kettle, coffee/tea set, fan, air conditioning, safe, and mini-fridge. Wi-Fi is available in the lobby. The rooms have recently been renovated in many areas, offering even more comfort and a fresh ambiance. The Superior rooms feature a terrace or balcony overlooking the newly landscaped pool and garden area, while the Deluxe rooms invite guests to linger with a terrace and sea view. The spacious Deluxe suites have a large terrace or balcony, offering relaxing views of the surrounding green park. Single rooms are double rooms for single use.
