On the first day the first consultation ("Prakruthi") with the Ayurveda doctor takes place. With a series of questions and tests as well as the pulse diagnosis, the relationship between the three Doshas Vata, Pitta and Kapha will be determined. This results in your individual Dosha type. In addition, your personal goals will be discussed. On this basis, the Ayurveda doctor will draw up a treatment plan and recommend how often yoga and meditation should be practiced. Every day there are check-ups to ensure your well-being and the success of the treatment. If necessary, the duration or type of application can be adapted.

The house, which is certified as an Ayurveda hospital, is reserved for Ayurveda guests and their companions and belongs to the Siddhalepa Group, a family business that has been cultivating the Ayurveda tradition for more than 200 years. The Siddhalepa Group

About 200 years ago, the Hettigoda family started to produce and distribute Ayurvedic products under the brand name Siddhalepa. The products are regularly inspected by the government, awarded Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and are now on the market worldwide, including Germany.

The product range of the Siddhalepa brand includes essential balms and oils, Ayurvedic cosmetics and care products, toothpaste as well as Ayurvedic herbal medicine, dietary supplements, elixirs and tea. Guests of Siddhalepa Hotels are invited to visit the factory and learn more about the group.

‘Relaxing vacation’ Original review (automatically translated)

We had a good rest, although the hotel underwent extensive renovations during our vacation about which we were not informed in advance. show more

    • Hotel in general
The lobby was completely renovated during the time we were at the hotel. In the 1st week of our vacation this was painted. In the 2nd week, the counter was removed with a jackhammer from 9:00 p.m. The paths were all repaved and grouted. Approx. 1/3 third of the rooms were still being renovated/renovated. The room we had was quite new and tidy. The closets could perhaps have been cleaned in advance as there was still sawdust on the shelves. The tea corner is in desperate need of new chairs and seat cushions. Water is dripping from the ceiling. This area was not very inviting. But it is the only place to have WiFi. Otherwise, there was no other place where you could sit down and linger longer, for example, in the evening. Basically, it was very quiet in the hotel, as there were only 6 guests in the hotel with us.
    • Service and hospitality
Everything was extremely eager to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Everyone was very accommodating and friendly. This somewhat compensated for the general condition of the hotel and the renovations.
    • Cuisine
The food was very good. The chef has conjured up wonderful dishes, especially in the evening. We missed the dosha appropriate diet. Since we did a Panchakarma, this would have been very helpful and necessary.
    • Spa, treatment and pool area
The pool area was fine. However, the cushions for the loungers are quite worn and could be renewed. The fitness room is a disaster and the equipment was in a desolate condition. Only the treadmill worked to some extent. The display of the other machines did not work or the bearings were worn out. The yoga area was also not really inviting. Due to the renovation of the lobby area, we had to move to a covered area by the pool in front of a staircase when it rained. The area for the Ayurveda treatments was quite okay. But even here the ravages of time are slowly gnawing away and it needs some renovations.
    • Treatments and programmes
The treatments were very good but and exactly tailored to our needs. We did a Panchakarma healing therapies, which was extremely helpful in improving our well-being. Both doctor and therapists took very good care of us. We felt very well taken care of. The doctor explained the individual treatments well. He made a very competent impression. Only a few explanations about the various medications were missing.

‘My vacation was intense, oily, inflamed, lonely, wet, cared for, too quiet, green and special.’ Original review (automatically translated)

My vacation was a special challenge for me. Not only because of 10 days of gray and a lot of rain, but also because I had or have an inflamed mosquito bite and had to be treated in the clinic. The environment of the hotel was absolutely not inviting, so I felt very limited in my outlet. The waiters were all very very nice and competent in their respective fields. show more

    • Hotel in general
The complex itself is very beautiful and diversified. Currently, there was a lot of construction and renovation. The restaurant near the beach is very nice. The beach itself is not inviting, very much plastic. On the side to the street you end up in the "nothing" so better not leave the complex. My room was always cleaned very thoroughly, unfortunately the towels were also changed, which I wanted to use again.
    • Service and hospitality
The staff was consistently very competent, empathetic, friendly and always there when you needed someone.
    • Cuisine
The food was very good from an Ayurvedic point of view. Unfortunately, only half the time as a buffet, since after was served at the table. Here the portions were too large and the individual was no longer possible...Unfortunately, there was then no juice in the morning.
    • Spa, treatment and pool area
Top maintained and with a maximum of 4 guests at the pool always enough space.
    • Treatments and programmes
Daily doctor talk and then treatments in total 2:30 hours. I would have liked that the therapist had changed times, because everyone massages differently. But that was not planned. The doctors were very competent and knew their limits to conventional medicine. The oily green coats were partly very active and also somewhat disgusting if you put them on in the morning.
    • Comments from SpaDreams
Dear SpaDreams guests, thank you for your constructive feedback. We apologize for any inconvenience caused to you. In Sri Lanka's low season of summer, occupancy is often lower than in winter and so advertised buffets may be changed to served meals for sustainability reasons. Classically, you will be assigned your own personal therapist for your healing therapies, who will know your personal needs and guide you through the healing therapy on a daily basis. You are welcome to communicate requests for a therapist change to the resort in the future. We wish you a wonderful late summer and are happy to answer any questions you may have. Kind regards, your SpaDreams Team

    • Hotel in general
Beautiful complex with garden. My room with sea view was large, very well maintained and had a beautiful, spacious "bath temple" with bathtub and shower.
    • Service and hospitality
Very friendly, helpful and courteous staff.
    • Cuisine
The first two weeks we were served. The dishes were often artfully arranged and tasted excellent. The last week there was a varied buffet.
    • Spa, treatment and pool area
Very clean and well maintained, daily changing, beautiful floral decorations.
