Located on the serene south-west coast of Sri Lanka, in the quaint village of Gonagala Pura near Induruwa, the family-run Spirit of Life is nestled in a sprawling tropical garden - a region renowned for its natural beauty, gentle palm groves, and relaxed atmosphere. Deliberately set away from the hustle of beach activities, the resort is a haven of tranquility where an Ayurveda therapy can unfold undisturbed. The peaceful surroundings invite leisurely strolls through the village, interactions with the local community, and short excursions to nearby natural areas. The hotel's private beach is just a few minutes away by complimentary tuk-tuk - perfect for peaceful beach walks or relaxing hours by the sea. Colombo International Airport (CMB) is approximately a 120-minute drive away.

The cuisine follows the principles of Ayurveda and combines authentic Sri Lankan flavors with healing lightness. Each dish is individually tailored and prepared from fresh, Ayurvedic ingredients - many of which come from the resort's own organic herb cultivation. Warming Kasaya decoctions, fragrant spices, and nourishing meals accompany the day and support personal balance. Meals are served in a tranquil ambiance, making dining a meditative experience.

The 200 sqm Ayurveda Center, housed in a separate building traditionally decorated, invites you to truly arrive and unwind. Four comfortable treatment rooms, a steam bath, and two herbal bath cabins create the perfect setting for your personal retreat. Each therapy is tailored to your needs - from gentle cleansing rituals to intensive Panchakarma treatments. A skilled team, including an Ayurveda doctor and seven qualified therapists, will accompany you with utmost professionalism, mindfulness, and empathy. The treatments are designed to promote deep well-being, sustainable regeneration, and inner balance. Upon request, female guests can exclusively be treated by women. Typically, treatments are consecutive but can be flexibly adjusted as possible and per individual agreement. For international guests, English translations are readily available. Consultations with the Ayurveda doctor are available daily from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Daily Hatha Yoga and meditation sessions with an experienced local teacher help you find inner peace and deepen your regeneration.

Under the gentle guidance of Manoj Premakumara Abeyrathne, discover the soothing effects of Hatha Yoga and find a gentle approach to meditation. His calm, present demeanor creates an atmosphere where you can immediately feel at ease and let go. The focus is always on your personal journey. Rather than showcasing his own skills, Manoj guides you with mindfulness, precision, and great empathy. The exercises are tailored so that both beginners and advanced practitioners can benefit equally, creating a harmonious interplay of movement, strength building, and deep relaxation. A special highlight is the yoga room: open-designed, circular, and marked by natural beauty. The warm wooden floor, the gentle murmur of a small waterfall, and the chirping of birds from the surrounding garden create an atmosphere of tranquility and security. Here, you can leave everyday life behind, find inner balance, and draw new energy.

Between Ayurveda treatments, Spirit of Life offers a variety of ways to mindfully shape your day. Guests can linger in the tropical garden, take meditative walks, or participate in inspiring workshops.
