Under medical supervision, you receive classic Panchakarma and cleansing treatments, complemented by daily yoga and a light, vegetarian Ayurvedic cuisine. The region's prime attraction is the Guruvayur Temple, about five kilometres away, one of the oldest and most significant Krishna temples in the country, often referred to as the "Dwaraka of the South" and famous for its daily rituals, elephant processions, and vibrant festivals. Just a few kilometres away, the historic elephant sanctuary Punnathur Kotta houses over 50 temple elephants, offering visitors a close-up view of feeding and bathing. The cuisine at Sree Chithra Ayur Home adheres to the principles of Ayurveda, prioritising your well-being. A purely vegetarian menu featuring traditional dishes from Kerala is served. Generally, a Tridosha-balancing diet is offered. For specific ailments or health needs, the diet is tailored to your individual health condition. Additionally, you will receive herbal tea suitable for your Dosha. Meals are enjoyed in the hotel's own dining room. Alcohol and other stimulants are not permitted anywhere on the premises.

The Sree Chithra Ayur Home epitomises authentic Ayurveda medicine, passed down through generations in this family. Led by two experienced chief physicians from a long Ayurvedic tradition, they are supported by a Senior Medical Officer and two Resident Medical Officers (RMOs), ensuring meticulous medical care for guests. The therapy team includes six female and four male therapists. Personal care by the doctors creates a familial atmosphere, blending medical expertise with individual support. Your Ayurveda therapy is tailored to your health needs and medically supervised. Treatments are conducted in four private, enclosed treatment rooms, offering a tranquil and discreet environment. Women and men are treated by therapists of the same gender. The focus is on classic Panchakarma therapies for purification and detox, medically supervised and complemented by daily yoga sessions to realign body and mind.

The tranquil waterside location is particularly conducive to relaxation, whether it's a walk through the green surroundings or a moment of quiet by the riverbank. For those looking to be more active, daily yoga and meditation sessions are available. The beach is approximately 3 km away and easily accessible by tuk-tuk, available on-site for a fee. The area also offers a variety of excursions: guided day tours can be booked on-site for a fee, as well as a journey on a traditional houseboat.
