Location & Surroundings
Bad Pyrmont, the traditional spa town in the heart of the Weser Uplands, between Hameln and Paderborn, is a magnificent hiking and cycling area for all age groups and levels of difficulty. The town is framed by gentle hills, from which numerous lookout towers offer splendid views. The surroundings, with the numerous buildings of the Weser Renaissance and the Weser Cycle Path, are rewarding excursions. The area is ideal for terrain therapy, a special form of movement therapy that is excellent for regular training of the cardiovascular system. The Bad Pyrmont terrain therapy trails offer four routes with different performance requirements.
The Spa Park
Immerse and unwind in the unparalleled, multiple award-winning spa park with its botanical diversity - one of the most beautiful gardens in Europe. Its baroque avenue system is framed by a landscape park. Through 17 theme gardens, you can take a mini world tour, from the Hemlock fir from the Rocky Mountains to the Kobushi magnolia from Japan to the native Süntel beech. Since 1912, the exotic palm garden - Europe's northernmost outdoor palm facility - has enchanted with about 500 specimens up to 12 m high from spring to autumn. The park is interspersed with discounts and native flowers, fountains, and shrubs. The facility extends as a mountain spa park into the surroundings of the town. Here you can learn about over 300 edible wild plants and shrubs. Engage your senses in the walking school. The barefoot course with eight different natural materials challenges the sense of touch. Afterwards, head to the Kneipp facility for stimulation during the day and relaxation in the evening with reaction-response therapy.
Dining & Leisure
Breakfast buffet from 7 to 10 a.m., Saturdays and Sundays until 11 a.m. Please discuss any allergies directly at the hotel. Cosy breakfast room. A selection of chilled beverages and small snacks for a fee are available from the vending machine in the breakfast room. In the nearby extensive pedestrian zone, there are numerous excellent restaurants.
Wellness & Spa
The expansive HUFELAND Spa boasts a brine bathing landscape covering approximately 700 sqm. A generous indoor and outdoor pool connected by a swim-through channel. Features include a current channel, massage bubble loungers, back and neck bubble jets, and a hot whirlpool. A lavish premium sauna area with 9 saunas awaits you! In the sauna garden, you'll find the original Siberian Banja with a shower area, relaxation room and terrace, log sauna, blockhouse sauna, and earth sauna, along with a large shower area and cold swimming pool. In a quiet corner of the garden, discover a silence house for complete relaxation. Inside, you'll be greeted by a rock crystal sauna, aroma sauna, sanarium, a floral steam bath, women's sauna, snow paradise, and ice fountain, sensorial shower tunnel, and cold plunge pool, as well as foot bathing areas. The generously equipped fireplace lounge with panoramic windows and distant views, on a wooden deck with idyllic lounging niches and relaxation islands, alongside inviting water beds and a large warm lying stone, ensures an absolute feel-good atmosphere. Relax in the Prince's Bath with single or double tubs. Be enchanted by the natural atmosphere of the sea salt grotto. Rock salt and sea salt provide the typically pure ionized air and have a beneficial effect on the skin, respiratory tract, and autonomic nervous system. Graduation house with natural brine - the natural brine acts preventively and regulating on respiratory diseases when inhaled. The respiratory tract is gently moisturized, respiratory function improved, and the bronchi stimulated for self-cleaning through brine inhalation. A second brine grotto is located in the promenade hall. Ayurvedic massages at AYURLANKA. Hufeland Bistro and dining in the Alpine hut.
Health & Treatments
Bad Pyrmont excels with consolidated health expertise across various medical fields, utilising its valuable natural remedies.
The Healthy Seven The springs emerge in the Valley of Springs and are administered directly at the springs, in the therapy houses, and in the promenade hall. In Bad Pyrmont, there is the rarity of two different types of medicinal water: the brine-containing sodium chloride acidulous waters and the calcium- and magnesium-rich hydrogencarbonate acidulous waters.
Brine Brine baths have a calming effect on the autonomic nervous system. Brine motion baths allow for intensive muscle and circulatory training due to increased buoyancy. Movements in brine water specifically relieve joints and the back.
Mud The therapeutic mud allows for very high application temperatures over an extended period while being well tolerated. At temperatures of 41 to 46 °C, an optimal therapeutic effect is achieved. A therapy with natural mud improves joint mobility, muscle relaxation, and overall circulation.
CO2 spring gas and the steam cave The steam cave is a unique natural phenomenon. CO2 spring gas invisibly flows from a rock fissure at Helvetius Hill to the surface. The carbon dioxide degasses from a magma source at a depth of 4,000 m and is the driving force for all of Bad Pyrmont's medicinal springs. CO2 brings these medicinal waters to the surface. Central and peripheral vessels are better circulated, relieving the heart and circulatory system.
