For respiratory diseases, especially conditions such as asthma, bronchitis and COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), the sea climate provides relief, along with beneficial inhalations. In addition, walks in the fresh sea air and gentle exercise such as swimming in seawater are part of the treatment. The therapy can also be used for the prevention of respiratory illnesses.
Skin diseases such as neurodermatitis are among the indications for which the thalasso retreats are successfully used. The stay at the fresh sea air in connection with genuine UV rays of the sun, baths and treatments with algae and sea mud is decidedly healing.
Among the most frequent metabolic complaints are type 2 diabetes or diabetes mellitus, increased blood fat values (hyperlipidemia) and gout connected with increased uric acid values. The thalasso treatments tend to show a positive effect on these conditions, because a purification of the entire body takes place. This can also be carried out without acute illness as a precaution and to increase well-being.
