The Hotel Bajkal (non-smoking, air-conditioned) is located near the city centre, on the edge of the therapy park.

Location & Surroundings

Franzensbad is located in the spa triangle of West Bohemia, close to the German border. The beautiful parks and surrounding forests, the pleasant climate, and countless healing springs offer excellent conditions for relaxation and active holidays.

Dining & Leisure

Featuring Bohemian and international cuisine. Breakfast buffet, lunch and dinner with a choice of 4-course menus. Options include low-calorie, diabetic, vegetarian, and bland diets, with lactose-free and gluten-free options available for an additional fee of 2€ (approx. UK £2 / USD $2) per day. Lounge and social rooms, weekly live music. Terrace and garden.

Wellness & Spa

Indoor pool (daily 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., 7x11 m, approx. 32°C), whirlpool, steam bath, herbal sauna, and Finnish and infrared saunas. Fitness room and salt grotto. Outdoor whirlpool (weather-dependent).

Modern therapy department (approx. 800 sqm, Mon.-Sat. 7 a.m.-3 p.m.) with doctors and a team of therapists, 24-hour nursing service. Cutting-edge diagnostics and treatment methods, including local natural remedies such as mineral water, medicinal gas, and peat. Massages, baths, medicinal gas injections, mud therapy, peat packs, oxygen therapy, ultrasound, biolamp. Electrotherapy, laser therapy, and magnetic field therapy, group physical therapy. Drinking therapy following medical consultation at the city's drinking halls.

Free Time

AQUAFORUM Water World - A realm of water and wellness (fee required: €12 (approx. UK £10 / USD $13) for 2 hours). Features three indoor and three outdoor pools with water attractions, whirlpools, sauna, water cave and slide, snack bar, restaurant, and aqua shop.

Cycling and walking in the surrounding area. Theatre performances. Classical concerts are held in the town during the summer months. Excursions and tours to nearby attractions such as Kynzvart Castle, Marienbad, Karlsbad, and the SOOS Nature Reserve.
