Nestled in a forest at a sunny elevation (approximately 600-800m), this location offers stunning panoramic views. It's perfect for an active holiday, boasting endless hiking trails with numerous snack and hiking huts, cycling routes such as the Kinzig Valley cycle path, and cross-country ski trails in winter.

Dining & Leisure

Embark on a culinary journey with select regional ingredients, creatively presented to you. Enjoy diverse regional cuisine featuring traditional dishes and Black Forest specialties across three restaurants with terraces and a beer garden. Indulge in an extensive breakfast buffet, including lactose-free options. At lunch, choose from two different main courses, one of which is vegetarian, mostly served buffet-style, sometimes plated, accompanied by a salad buffet. In the afternoon, enjoy homemade cakes and coffee from the buffet. In the evening, a varied 5-course menu from different thematic worlds (regional, wellness, thalasso, vegetarian) is served, complemented by a salad buffet. On selected days, a buffet is available. Wellness & Spa

Explore our modern spa and wellness area, spanning approximately 1000 sqm, open daily from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. This sunlit space features a stainless steel indoor pool (about 6.5 x 10 m, approx. 82°F), a whirlpool, and a children's pool. For relaxation, enjoy loungers along the 25 m wide panoramic front or on the spacious adjoining terrace, both offering views of the lush countryside extending to the Swabian Alps.
Our contemporary sauna area, open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., ensures supreme relaxation with a gentle bio-sauna (about 140°F), Finnish sauna (about 194°F), steam bath (113°F), panoramic outdoor sauna, and a heated bench with a foot bath. There's also a sunbathing lawn and quiet rooms. Gymnastics rooms.
Our gym, equipped with strength and cardio machines, caters to both beginners and advanced users for effective full-body workouts. Bistro. Hamam available for a fee.

Spavital (daily 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.). Free Time

The attractive and conveniently located hotel in the heart of the Black Forest National Park region, at the entrance to the picturesque Kinzig Valley with the Kinzig Lake, is perfect for hiking with many panoramic views and charming places to stop, tours, mountain biking trails, and cycling trips. In winter, snowshoeing, sledding, and skiing on gentle slopes are possible. Numerous excursions to the beautiful town of Freudenstadt with its striking market square, to Baiersbronn, to Mummelsee, or to the Hornisgrinde high moor are highly recommended.
Golf: 18-hole golf course in Freudenstadt (approx. 5 miles) and 9-hole golf facility in Alpirsbach (approx. 7 miles).

Pleasant room, delicious food, extensive breakfast buffet. We enjoyed spending time in the sauna. We also used the swimming pool and whirlpool often. The staff was always nice and helpful.

Hotel is recommended, although it was very busy at the weekend. It is much quieter during the week.
