Your Ayurveda Resort

In Hikkaduwa on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka, approximately 16 km from Galle, lies the Lawrence Ayurveda Paradise, nestled in a stunning 10,000 sqm palm and flower garden. It is a tranquil, privately managed family hotel, situated on a small hill about 250 m from the beach. The beaches of Hikkaduwa are among the most popular in the country.

Dining & Leisure

Adjacent to the Ayurveda Center and right by the pool, nestled within the lush garden, lies the open-air restaurant. Here, you can savour the freshly prepared Ayurveda buffet. All dishes are made predominantly from regional ingredients and are prepared according to dosha guidelines. Options include chicken or white fish, and upon request, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, low-salt, sugar-free, and lactose-free dishes are available. The tea room offers a hot and cold water dispenser and dosha-appropriate tea. In line with Ayurvedic dietary principles, no alcohol, coffee, or soft drinks are served.

Ayurveda Center

Nestled within the expansive garden, the Ayurveda Center features 16 treatment rooms and a team comprising 2 Ayurveda doctors and skilled therapists. It is one of the few centers in Sri Lanka with a certified Ayurveda pharmacy and production facility. The personalized Ayurveda treatments include head, face, body, and foot massages with herbal oils, milk rice poultice massage (Navara Kizhi), Shirodhara oil forehead flow, Ayurvedic herbal and steam baths. Inhalations, Abhyanga massages, and Panchakarma cleansing techniques are also performed. Hatha Yoga sessions are conducted daily by a professional instructor either in the yoga hall or atop the water tower with a sea view. Meditation is available upon request, and acupuncture is offered for a fee of approximately €17 (approx. UK £15 / USD $18). Guests are welcome to visit the hotel's herbal kitchen or attend a lecture by Ayurveda doctors on the production of Ayurvedic herbal medicine.

Free Time

The hotel features an outdoor pool, complete with loungers and sunshades. The beach, with its fine sand and a nearby coral reef, is just a 5-minute walk away and offers year-round swimming opportunities. The area offers a variety of excursion options such as boat trips, snorkelling, walks through rice fields, visits to cinnamon and coconut plantations, as well as temple complexes.

All rooms are spacious and bright, offering a stunning view of the expansive tropical garden. The 20 rooms feature garden/pool views, are equipped with Ayurvedic care products, and include a veranda or balcony. A hairdryer is available upon request, and selected rooms have air conditioning. Single rooms are double rooms for single use.
