Location & Surroundings

Bad Pyrmont, the prestigious spa town in the heart of the Weser Uplands, nestled between Hameln and Paderborn, is a magnificent hiking and cycling area for all ages and levels of difficulty. The town is surrounded by gentle hills, from which numerous lookout towers offer splendid views. Exploring the surroundings with its numerous Weser Renaissance buildings by bike, using the Weser cycle path, or cycling along the 65 km long Emmer river that winds through the city, are rewarding excursions. The S-Bahn train easily takes you back to the starting point. The area is ideal for terrain therapy, a special form of exercise therapy that is excellent for regular training of the cardiovascular system. The Bad Pyrmont terrain therapy network offers four routes with different levels of difficulty.

Spa Park Immerse yourself and unwind in the unparalleled, multi-award-winning spa park - one of the most beautiful gardens in Europe. Its baroque avenue system is framed by a landscape park. Through 17 theme gardens, you can take a mini world tour, from the Hemlock fir from the Rocky Mountains to the Kobushi magnolia from Japan, and the native Süntel beech. A botanical diversity that is second to none. Since 1912, the exotic palm garden - Europe's northernmost outdoor palm exhibit, has enchanted with about 500 specimens up to 12 m tall from spring to autumn. The park is interspersed with flower beds and native flowers, fountains, and shrubs.
The facility extends into the city's surroundings as a mountain spa park. Here, you can learn about over 300 edible wild plants and shrubs.
Engage your senses in the walking school. The barefoot course with eight different natural materials challenges the sense of touch. Afterwards, head to the Kneipp facility for refreshment during the day and relaxation in the evening with the stimulus-response therapy.

Wellness & Spa

The HUFELAND Spa is distinguished by a brine water landscape spanning approximately 700 sqm. A spacious indoor and outdoor pool connected by a swim-through channel. Features include a current channel, massage bubble loungers, back and neck bubble jets, and a hot whirlpool. A generous premium sauna area with 9 saunas awaits you! In the sauna garden, you'll find the original Siberian Banja with shower area, relaxation room and terrace, log cabin sauna, blockhouse sauna, and earth sauna, as well as a large shower area and cold swimming pool. In a quiet corner of the garden, there's a silence house for complete relaxation. Inside, you'll be greeted by a quartz crystal sauna, aroma sauna, sanarium, a floral steam bath, women's sauna, snow paradise, and ice fountain, sensorial shower tunnel, and cold plunge pool, as well as foot bathing areas. The generously equipped fireplace lounge with panoramic windows and distant views, on a wooden deck with idyllic lounging niches and relaxation islands, alongside the inviting water beds and the large warm lounging stone, ensures an absolute feel-good atmosphere.

Relax in the Prince's Bath with single or double tubs. Be enchanted by the natural atmosphere of the sea salt grotto. Rock salt and sea salt create the typically pure ionized air and have a beneficial effect on the skin, respiratory tract, and autonomic nervous system, for example. The graduation house with natural brine - the natural brine has a preventive and regulating effect on respiratory diseases when inhaled. The respiratory tract is gently moisturized, respiratory function improved, and the bronchi stimulated to self-clean through brine inhalation. A second brine grotto is located in the promenade hall.
Ayurvedic massages at AYURLANKA. Hufeland Bistro and dining in the mountain hut.

The Natural Remedies

Bad Pyrmont excels with consolidated health expertise across various medical fields, leveraging its valuable natural remedies.

The Healthy Seven The springs emerge in the Valley of Springs and are administered directly at the source, in the spa treatment houses, and in the promenade hall. In Bad Pyrmont, there is the rarity of two different types of healing water: the brine-containing sodium chloride mineral springs and the calcium- and magnesium-rich hydrocarbonate mineral springs. Indications for the drinking therapy depending on the source: Digestive organ diseases, urological diseases, deficiencies of iron and calcium.

Brine Brine baths have a calming effect on the autonomic nervous system. Brine movement baths allow for intensive muscle and cardiovascular training due to the increased buoyancy. Movements in brine water specifically relieve joints and the back.

Mud The therapeutic mud allows for very high application temperatures over an extended period while being well tolerated. At 41 to 46 °C, an optimal therapeutic effect is achieved. A therapy with natural mud results in improved joint mobility, muscle relaxation, and enhanced blood circulation throughout the body.

CO2 Spring Gas and the Mist Cave The Mist Cave is a unique natural phenomenon. CO2 spring gas invisibly flows from a rock fissure at the surface of the Helvetius Hill. The carbon dioxide degasses from a magma chamber 4,000 m deep and is the driving force for all of Bad Pyrmont's healing springs. CO2 brings these healing waters to daylight. Central and peripheral vessels are better blood-supplied, and the cardiovascular system is relieved.
