Ustronie Morskie (Henkenhagen), located just about 7.5 miles east of Kolberg (Kolobrzeg), is considered one of the most beautiful seaside resorts on the Amber Coast of the Baltic Sea. The approximately 6.2 miles long beach features broad, fine sandy stretches interspersed with steep sections. Here, you can enjoy stunning views of the Baltic Sea and the unique maritime climate with fresh, iodine-rich air, especially near the surf zone - ideal for respiratory ailments, but also simply for relaxation by the sea, for example, during extended walks. The quaint village offers cycling and hiking trails through the charming surroundings with coastlines, birch and pine forests, and especially in summer, a vibrant atmosphere with cafes, restaurants, markets, and concerts.

Depending on the season, the hotel organises additional events and attractions such as concerts, barbecues, or special events. Guests have the convenience of booking optional excursions on site. Salt Grotto with Graduation Tower and Saltwater Inhalation:
The Max Health Resort SPA has opened a salt grotto with a graduation tower. The pleasant temperature of the room, with subdued lighting and relaxing music, allows you to unwind and escape everyday stress.
Additional inhalation treatments can be booked or included as part of the therapy program. For the saltwater inhalation, the original Kolberg brine is used.
The original Kolberg brine has a tradition spanning over 1,000 years. The city of Kolberg owes its fame and wealth to it. From the 7th to the 18th century, the brine sources were used for salt extraction, and from the 19th century onwards, the brine began to be used for therapy treatments.
The original Kolberg brine is a relic water, estimated to be over 2 million years old. It contains unique microelements, mainly from the salts deposited under Kolberg, which are the remnants of an ancient ocean from 300 million years ago.
The original Kolberg brine comes from source No. 7 named "Warcisław" and has a certificate confirming its therapeutic properties, issued by the National Institute of Public Health - PZH. Based on test results, it has been defined as mineral medicinal water with a specific iodine content of 5.63%.

It is a very nice, clean hotel with friendly staff and excellent service. Any minor issues were resolved very quickly with the help of the front desk. With the intensive treatment program, I would have preferred slightly longer rest periods between treatments.
Hotel
The hotel's interior is a bit unusual, but it's artfully and beautifully designed. There's a very nice rooftop terrace and a courtyard in front of the hotel. The location is right on the water (with the beach promenade in between). There are stairs leading down to the beach, but you can also go around them. There are many small stalls, shops, restaurants, and bars.
Service
Great service, friendly staff, hardly any language barriers.
Treatments
I didn't really get a chance to relax, since the treatments were scheduled too close together. With 5 treatments scheduled between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m., it was quite a challenge. Also, the initial consultation didn't really make sense to me. A 10-minute discussion of my symptoms, then hand in the form, leave, and pick up the treatment plan later.

We liked the selection. We had half board, and there was something for everyone in the morning and at night. There could have been more variety in the sausage and cheese selection. But it wasn't a big deal. There was plenty of everything, and it was constantly being restocked.
Wellness area
Everything looks nice and clean. The steps leading into the hot tub need to be repaired (the paneling is loose), but otherwise it's all good. One drawback for me was the glass panels between the showers, where you could see the person showering next to you through the glass. What's the point of that glass then? The loungers in the therapeutic spa department could be a bit wider, but otherwise I think the therapeutic spa department is good.
