The Medical Spa Egles Sanatorium Birštonas is located in a pine forest on the banks of the Nemunas River, approximately 800 m from the centre, utilising nature as a vital foundation for harmony and health. Over 50 years of experience in diagnosis, therapy, and treatments with mineral water and healing mud, along with successful methods of rehabilitation medicine, have established a tradition.

Dining & Enjoyment

The dining hall, accessible via a covered walkway, offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner from a buffet featuring international and Lithuanian dishes, as well as healthy, sugar-free options. Café available.

Wellness & Spa

The largest pool and sauna complex in the region (open daily) with an indoor pool, 2 therapy pools, 2 whirlpools, a children's pool, 2 steam baths, and 6 saunas including a Himalayan salt sauna, hammam, and ice room. Access to the pool and sauna complex for 120 minutes is approximately €8. The Amber Spa offers treatments including amber massages and (infrared) saunas.

Health & Treatments

Birštonas is renowned for its rehabilitation medicine and natural remedies such as healing mud and mineral water for drinking therapies. A dedicated team of over 70 doctors and specialists, including physiotherapists, cardiologists, gastroenterologists, endocrinologists, and neurologists (languages: Lithuanian, Russian, English), takes care of the spa guests. A diverse range of over 100 different treatments (Mon-Sun, some in groups) allows for personalised treatment plans, for example, with carbon dioxide, oxygen, aroma, balneotherapy, cryotherapy, kinesiotherapy, magnetic field, laser, electro and physiotherapy, healing mud, full-body, underwater and other massages, inhalation, ultrasound, lymphatic drainage, water aerobics, and salt chamber. Treatments for children are also available. Drinking therapy fountains and comprehensive functional diagnostics with modern technologies.

Fitness & Activities

Fitness room available, and bicycles and Nordic walking sticks can be rented for a fee.

Leisure

A library, children's playground, and a saline graduation tower at the spa hotel. Birštonas also offers several museums, the spa hotel, a mineral water pavilion, and a Kneipp garden to explore. Excursions to places like Vilnius, Kaunas, or the Trakai Water Castle are available for an additional fee.

We feel refreshed. The treatments were good and the staff friendly. Unfortunately the mattress was not very comfortable and the food was way too greasy, unseasoned, overcooked for us to really enjoy it.

Great hotel and facilities. Could do with longer public swimming times and not to pay if your a hotel guest. The rest was just perfect and we enjoyed the area of Birstonas.
