Sun, air and salt on the skin

The sea salt in an arid and rugged landscape - 400 meters below sea level. Its healing properties are due in part to the unique combination of water, sun and air. The amount of sunlight and ultraviolet radiation are unique and highly filtered so that therapeutic sunbathing with a lower risk of sunburn is possible. The high oxygen content and high concentration of minerals in the air also are important prerequisites for a successful cure.

Climatic Cure in the German Medical Centre

The clinic of the German Medical Centre (open Sun.-Fri) specializes in highly effective treatments to cure skin diseases, respiratory diseases and rheumatism. The DMZ is located in the Lot Hotel Ein Bokek and SGB V is recognized as inpatient rehabilitation facility pursuant to § 107 to a supply contract and compensation agreement according to § 111 SGB V. With natural healing methods using the region-specific resources (sea water, salt, sea mud, air) the German-speaking doctors and specialists from the fields of dermatology care, rheumatology and pulmonology care for your long-term healing process. Also available around the clock emergency medical service.

Recommendations

After consulting your doctor, you should stop taking medication on time before checking in, unless they are absolutely necessary. Ointments containing cortisone to settle at least 4 weeks check up on admission, cortisone tablets should be taken up for examination and discussion with the physician in the beginning of the cure. Please bring a detailed report from your attending physician for examination, also all the ointments and medications that you are taking and any diet plans.

Subsidies granted by your health insurance will remain. Please speak with your doctor before you travel and your insurance company. Also ask the tax office if the costs incurred because of your illness can be claimed for tax purposes (§ 33 of the Income Tax Act).
